The veterans are deeply concerned about increased wait times and reduced healthcare access. Houlahan noted, "I was grateful but also heartbroken to talk recently with veterans in our community who are reeling from the cuts to the VA. They are angry about longer wait times and reduced access to healthcare services."

Later that evening, Houlahan conveyed warnings about threats to democratic institutions. Emphasizing bipartisan accountability, she urged Americans to reject actions by any presidential figures who defy Supreme Court rulings, indicating the potential harm such conduct could pose to democracy's integrity.
