Chrissy Houlahan, a U.S. Congress member representing Pennsylvania's 6th district, recently shared her concerns and perspectives on several issues through a series of tweets. Houlahan has been vocal regarding veterans' privacy, employment cuts at the Veterans Affairs (VA), and the actions of the Trump Administration and House Republicans. Her statements were made public via her social media account this April.
On April 10, 2025, Houlahan expressed her alarm about the privacy of veterans' data. She tweeted, "I am proud to stand with @RepHerbConaway and @RepCarbajal to demand that veterans' private data is kept private. This Administration has proven time and again that they can't be trusted with information, classified or otherwise. Keep DOGE and Elon Musk out of the VA."
The following day, April 11, 2025, Houlahan addressed substantial employee cuts at the VA. She stated, "The Trump Administration plans to fire over 83,000 employees at the VA, and the @HouseGOP refuses to hold a hearing to determine how these reckless cuts will impact the brave men and women who have served our country, so the @HouseDems held one for them. What we heard from expert."
Later on April 11, Houlahan critiqued the House Republicans' role during a specific period. Her tweet claimed, "Law(less) + (Dis)Order(ly) Episode 9: Special Guest Stars, House Republicans. None of these actions make our country safer or citizens more prosperous, but here are some of the things the Trump administration and this week's guest stars, the @HouseGOP, delivered this week."
Houlahan has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2019, replacing Ryan Costello. Born in 1967 at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, she now resides in Devon. Houlahan graduated from Stanford University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Her efforts in Congress have been focused on ensuring data privacy for veterans and raising awareness about legislative decisions impacting veterans' welfare and national safety.
