Chrissy Houlahan, a U.S. Congress member representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, recently took to social media to engage her constituents in community activities. The tweets shared on January 21, 2025, highlight initiatives and service efforts undertaken by her office.

On January 21, Houlahan announced the commencement of the "5th annual Valentines for Veterans project." She stated: "Valentine's Day is approaching, so it's time for our 5th annual Valentines for Veterans project! We are now accepting cards for our local veterans, which can be dropped off at our Reading office by February 7 or our West Chester office by February 10."

In a subsequent tweet on the same day, she elaborated on the distribution process: "The cards will be delivered to the Coatesville VA and the Etchberger Veterans Service Center. Please use the drop boxes outside of our office doors, and thank you for participating!"

Later that day, Houlahan reflected on volunteer work done in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.: "In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., my team and I volunteered at @_OppHouse, a multi-service shelter in Reading. We prepared and served lunch to 70 community members. Opportunity House plays a vital role to those in need, and I'm thankful for our time of service together!" This act underscores her commitment to serving both veterans and those experiencing homelessness within her district.
