Grove United Methodist Church issued the following announcement on July 25.
Grove members and friends are invited to help fill 50 backpacks with school supplies that will benefit students at area schools.
This is an easy project for individuals or families to take part in. You can easily get items from Dollar Tree, Staples, and Amazon, whatever is convenient for you.
Items can be dropped off at the church in the marked bin on Sundays or during the week.
Here is what we need to fill the backpacks.
No.2 pencils
Eraser
Sharpener
Zippered pencil bag
Washable markers
Crayons
Ruler-12”
Colored pencils
Indexed cards (ruled)
Glue stick
Blunt-tipped scissors
Ballpoint pens
Hand sanitizer
Spiral notebooks (wide-lined)
Pocket folders
We want to complete the project by August 8 so that the backpacks can be dedicated on August 15th “Backpack Blessing” Sunday. Questions can be directed to Pastor Eva, pastoreva@grovechurch.org
