Chester County Announces Voting Telephone Town Hall Scheduled for Monday, October 17

Chester County’s Department of Voter Services announced today that it will hold a Telephone Town Hall on Monday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m. to provide voters with the information they need to make their voice heard in this November’s General Election.

During the Telephone Town Hall, Commissioner Josh Maxwell, Chair of the Chester County Board of Elections, and Karen Barsoum, Director of Chester County Voter Services will go over how to register to vote, apply for an absentee or mail-in ballot, find a polling place, discuss rules for voting both in-person and by mail-in or absentee ballot, and explain the timing and process for reporting election results.

The Telephone Town Hall will also remind voters of the important dates related to the November 8th election. Panel members will speak on a topic for a few minutes at a time, then answer voting-related questions submitted by the Town Hall participants.

Residents interested in participating in the Telephone Town Hall should fill out the registration form at chesco.org/VotingTownHall. Those who sign up will be called at their submitted telephone number shortly before the Town Hall begins, to join the call.

The 2022 General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 8. For up-to-date information and important dates for the November 2022 election, go to www.chesco.org/elections.

Voters must be registered to vote by Monday, October 24, 2022, for the November 8th election.
