GROVE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH: 2021 Family VBS! July 25-29 in-person and virtual August 2-5

Crafts

Grove United Methodist Church issued the following announcement on Jul. 11.

Something new this year as we cautiously get back to in-person meetings. We are offering an evening program that runs from 6:00-7:30 PM. Families will experience together the fun of seeing bible stories acted out, inspirational sing-a-longs, crafts to help children remember what they have experienced, and fun outdoor games and yoga movements to help embody the concepts of lovingkindness.

Following our opening bible story, preschool and young elementary (through 2nd grade) children will move with a parent through the craft, games, and music stations. Elementary children (3-5th grades) will move as independent groups with a guide.

The theme is “Lovingkindness” and the Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments reinforce loving kindness:

  • All Around Me: Exodus 2:1–10
  • For Myself: 1 Kings 19:4–8
  • To the Neighbor: Luke 10:25–37
  • With the World: Acts 2:1–13, 42–47
  • Along the Way: Romans 16:1–16
You can register here Grove VBS  Invite some neighbors to join you!

Not ready for an in-person experience? Grove will offer the same program virtually during the week of August 2-5. Register the same way and receive the link to access the videos for bible stories and music, craft directions, and games and yoga movements to do at home. Craft materials and information sheets can be picked up during the evenings July 26-29. You can do the lovingkindness sessions when it is convenient for your family!
