Borough of Downingtown issued the following announcement.
DOWNINGTOWN, PA—The Downingtown Library doors may be closed due to COVID-19, but the virtual library is always open! Along with many other organizations and businesses, the Downingtown Library closed on March 14, and will remain closed until further notice to help stop the spread of the virus, in compliance with Gov. Wolf’s “Order to Stay at Home.” Due dates for library materials will be extended for the entire closure, no additional fines will accrue, and holds will be paused (i.e. patrons won’t lose their place in the holds list or their holds if they’ve already arrived at the library) Please keep checked-out items at home until the library re-opens, as the outdoor book drop is closed.
