The following day, April 21, 2025, Houlahan expressed her condolences upon the death of Pope Francis. In her tweet at 12:49 PM UTC, she recognized his impact: “Pope Francis was both an incredible man and an inspiring leader. May his example of compassion and grace encourage us all. Rest in peace, Pope Francis.”
On April 22, 2025, at 2:02 PM UTC, Houlahan tweeted about concerns within the House Armed Services Committee, where she is a member. Houlahan was born in Maryland in 1967 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University, obtained in 1989. Since succeeding Ryan Costello in Congress, she has been residing in Devon, Pennsylvania.
