Chrissy Houlahan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, has recently expressed her views on several issues through social media posts. Born in 1967 at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, and currently residing in Devon, Houlahan graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1989.
On May 6, 2025, Houlahan commented on the Senate Armed Services Committee’s consideration of Anthony Tata for the position of Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. She stated that “Tata will actively hurt the military’s ability to recruit and retain personnel and undermine our military’s readiness.”
In another post on the same day, Houlahan referenced Tata’s past nomination failure during the Trump administration. She noted that “as a retired general, he violated the UCMJ by having an affair with a subordinate while deployed,” and also criticized him for promoting racist conspiracy theories and making Islamophobic comments.
The following day, May 7, 2025, Houlahan highlighted her legislative efforts during National Small Business Week. She announced her collaboration with colleagues to reintroduce the bipartisan Research Advancing to Market Production (RAMP) for Innovators Act. The bill aims to streamline federal support for innovators. In her words: “I am proud to reintroduce the bipartisan Research Advancing to Market Production (RAMP) for Innovators Act with my colleague @RepBalderson and our Senate counterparts @ChrisCoons and @SenJohnCurtis.”
