Chrissy Houlahan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district, has shared a series of tweets reflecting on various national issues and events. Her social media activity provides insight into her views and priorities as a public servant.
On May 17, 2025, Houlahan commemorated Armed Forces Day by expressing gratitude to those who serve in the military. She stated, “On #ArmedForces Day, I honor the brave men and women who raise their hands and volunteer to protect and defend America at home and abroad. You have the gratitude of a thankful nation.”
The following day, May 18, 2025, she critiqued recent actions by the Trump administration in an episode titled “Law(less) + (Dis)Order(ly) Episode 14.” In her tweet, she commented on the lack of safety or prosperity resulting from these actions: “None of these actions make our country safer or citizens more prosperous, but here are some of the things the Trump administration delivered last week: During a House budget hearing, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.”
Later that same day, Houlahan celebrated the 60th anniversary of Head Start by acknowledging its impact on young children and families. She expressed her commitment to ensuring its continued success: “Happy 60th birthday to @HeadStartgov! Hanging out with the young students in PA06 inspires me to work even harder to make sure the positive and measurable impact this program has had on young children and their families here and across the country can continue for many decades.”
Chrissy Houlahan was born in Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland in 1967. She graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1989. Since replacing Ryan Costello in 2019 as U.S Congress member for Pennsylvania’s 6th District, she has been actively involved in legislative activities while residing in Devon.
