Chrissy Houlahan, a representative from Pennsylvania’s 6th district, has been active on social media, sharing her engagements and viewpoints with the public. On April 22, 2025, Houlahan invited her followers to participate in her forthcoming town hall meeting. The discussion will primarily focus on “tariffs, trade and the economy.” She encouraged her constituents to attend the event being her 97th town hall session in order to maintain open communication with the public.
On the same day, in celebration of #EarthDay2025, Houlahan shared her experience of visiting Penn State Berks. She met with students there who are involved in the Nittany AI Challenge, a competition aimed at creating AI technologies to assist in environmental protection. She described the students as “an impressive group,” recognizing their commitment and technical skills used to protect the planet.
A day later, on April 23, 2025, Houlahan voiced her concerns over the handling of classified information by U.S. Secretary Pete Hegseth. She stated on Twitter that the “leakers” were employees previously associated with Hegseth at other non-profits which she claims were mismanaged. According to Houlahan, these individuals were not anonymous sources, but rather friends of Hegseth who highlighted the reckless management of attack plans, expressing her concern for national safety.
Chrissy Houlahan, at 55 years of age, has been representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, following Ryan Costello. She was born on a naval air station in Maryland, later receiving a Bachelor of Science from Stanford University. She currently resides in Devon.
