Chrissy Houlahan, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, shared updates on upcoming events and policy actions in a series of posts on January 8, 2026.
In her first message of the day, Houlahan invited constituents to attend her annual address: “Please join me for my annual State of the Sixth address, returning to the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville on Tuesday January 27th. Doors open at 5pm for 6pm program. Seating is first come, first seated. Hope to see you there!” (posted January 8, 2026).
Later that afternoon, she commented on an incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis: “ICE’s account of the shooting in Minneapolis yesterday does not line up with the truth. Obviously. @Sec_Noem knows it, and so does every official lying about it and actively preventing state law enforcement agencies from investigating. As operating today, ICE is reckless and” (posted January 8, 2026).
In her final post that evening, Houlahan addressed foreign policy matters: “Today, with fellow Democratic veterans who have all served our nation, I sponsored a War Powers Resolution to block the Trump administration from engaging in hostilities within or against Venezuela. I respectfully ask all Republican veterans to join us.” (posted January 8, 2026).
Chrissy Houlahan has represented Pennsylvania’s 6th District since succeeding Ryan Costello in Congress in 2019. She was born at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland and currently resides in Devon. Houlahan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University.
