Chrissy Houlahan, currently serving U.S. Congresswoman from Pennsylvania’s 6th district, shared her thoughts and legislative activities in a series of posts on her Twitter account. Houlahan, who succeeded Ryan Costello in Congress in 2019, has consistently engaged with national issues through her social media presence.
On May 1, 2025, Houlahan tweeted about environmental principles, stating “Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Good to see @realDonaldTrump and his administration want to protect something. Unfortunately it’s @SecDef and the rest of Trump’s inner circle.” This comment appeared to address her views on the current political dynamics within the Trump administration.
The following day, May 2, 2025, Houlahan announced she had introduced bipartisan legislation aimed at promoting paid family leave. She tweeted, “Earlier this week, I introduced bipartisan legislation promoting paid family leave alongside my friend and colleague @RepBice. I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Rep. Later on May 2, Houlahan made a statement regarding President Trump’s executive order. She wrote, “President Trump just signed an executive order terminating all Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) funding to @NPR and @PBS. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is a private nonprofit organization funded by Congress, not an executive agency under the purview of.” This tweet highlighted her concerns about the implications of the executive order on public broadcasting.
Chrissy Houlahan, born in Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland in 1967 and currently residing in Devon, is a Stanford University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1989.
