Chrissy Houlahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, addressed several issues on her Twitter account in January 2026, ranging from Federal Reserve independence to constituent services and upcoming public events.

On January 12, Houlahan emphasized the importance of central bank autonomy amid political pressures, stating: “The independence of the Federal Reserve is paramount. Global market stability is at stake because of the Trump Administration’s coercion and weaponization of the DOJ. I urge my colleagues to pay attention to the experts who wrote:

‘This is how monetary policy is made in emerging'” (January 12, 2026).

A day later, she reported on her office’s constituent support activities for the previous year: “In 2025, we resolved cases for 174 constituents, recovering nearly $11 million that federal agencies owed to them. If you need assistance with a federal issue –from IRS refunds to VA benefits and beyond – reach out to the wonderful staff in either my Reading or West Chester” (January 13, 2026).

Later that same day, Houlahan invited residents to an upcoming community event: “I hope you’ll join me two weeks from today in Phoenixville for my annual State of the Sixth address! Seating is first-come, first-serve and a livestream will be available at the link in my bio.” (January 13, 2026).

Houlahan has represented Pennsylvania’s 6th district since replacing Ryan Costello in Congress in 2019. She was born at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland in 1967 and currently resides in Devon. Houlahan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University.
