Chrissy Houlahan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district, has been vocal on various issues through her social media platform. Her recent tweets highlight the importance of bipartisan efforts in different areas such as public health and community service, along with her concerns regarding the actions of the former Trump administration.
On April 25, 2025, Houlahan emphasized the critical role of bipartisan leadership in the success of vaccination programs worldwide. She stated, “Thanks to bipartisan US leadership, vaccines have saved more than 150 million lives worldwide over the past 50 years. Vaccines are safe and effective. #WorldImmunizationWeek”.
Two days later, on April 27, 2025, she highlighted the widespread impact of AmeriCorps in the United States. Houlahan pointed out the bipartisan support for AmeriCorps and its contribution in 2024, stating “AmeriCorps has decades of bipartisan support. You may not know that in 2024, approximately 1,500 AmeriCorps NCCC members – including FEMA Corps and Forest Corps – supported 368 communities across 48 states. Together, they: •Returned $22,787,406 to communities in free tax”.
In a further tweet on April 27, 2025, Houlahan expressed concern over actions taken by the former Trump administration. She stated, “I do not care what color suit @realDonaldTrump wore to a funeral. I do care that he and his administration are deporting American citizens, including toddlers. I do care that he and his administration are arresting judges.”
Chrissy Houlahan, currently a 55-year-old Congresswoman, was born in Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, in 1967. Residing in Devon, she has been serving Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, succeeding Ryan Costello. She graduated from Stanford University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
