Chrissy Houlahan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district, shared a series of statements on social media over the past few days. These posts cover a range of topics from local environmental projects to national issues like gun violence and military service.
On June 7, 2025, Houlahan marked #NationalTrailsDay by highlighting the Chester County Schuylkill River Trail Project. She noted that this project has expanded opportunities for outdoor activities within her district by opening an extension of the trail. “On #NationalTrailsDay, we celebrate the beautiful scenes in PA-06 that allow us all to get outside and enjoy nature,” she stated.
The following day, on June 8, 2025, Houlahan addressed the issue of gun violence in America. She cited statistics from the CDC indicating that gun violence is a leading cause of death among children and teens in the United States. In her post, she criticized actions taken by the previous administration: “Over 100 Americans lose their lives to gun violence every day…”
On June 9, 2025, Houlahan expressed her pride in having served in the United States Air Force and reaffirmed her commitment to protecting both the country and its servicemembers’ rights. In her statement, she said: “I believe that America is the greatest country in the world – that’s why I signed my name on the dotted line…”
Houlahan has been a member of Congress since replacing Ryan Costello in 2019. Born at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland in 1967, she now resides in Devon and holds a BS degree from Stanford University.
