Chrissy Houlahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, shared updates on community funding and concerns about veterans’ healthcare in a series of social media posts on March 11, 2026.
On the morning of March 11, Houlahan criticized recent federal budget decisions affecting veterans’ access to care. She stated, “Cutting resources at VA medical centers forces veterans to seek community care from local hospitals. Many of those local hospitals are now at risk of closure due to the Republican budget bill passed last year. We cannot be a country that sends our servicemembers into battle and https://t.co/yoTgjN0R9R” (March 11, 2026).
Later that day, she highlighted support for first responders in her district by noting new funding for a local fire company: “I recently visited Goshen Fire Company, who received $850,000 in community project funding to build a new fire and EMS station. Our firefighters, both volunteer and career, can continue safely serving the more than 35,000 residents of East Goshen, West Goshen, Westtown and https://t.co/I13FTQ3Wao” (March 11, 2026).
In another post that afternoon, Houlahan discussed improvements at an assisted living facility: “For Barclay Friends assisted living facility, we secured more than $1 million in funding to renovate the memory care facility, doubling its capacity. On my tour, I was happy to learn about the dementia services they provide and the many ways this expansion will help them care for https://t.co/IjBhrJLPgP” (March 11, 2026).
