Chrissy Houlahan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, posted a series of statements on social media criticizing economic conditions and legislative proposals under President Trump.
On February 5, 2026, Houlahan highlighted recent job losses and rising living costs in a post: “More than 100,000 people were laid off last month, as energy and grocery costs continue to rise. We deserve better than President Trump’s economy.”
Later that day, she addressed an ongoing investigation by the Trump Administration, linking it to current economic concerns: “I refuse to be intimidated by the Trump Administration. Not only because our right to free speech needs to be protected, but because this so-called investigation is an attempt to distract from the real issues at hand. (See today’s jobs report.) I’m getting back to work.”
On February 6, Houlahan raised concerns about the SAVE Act’s potential impact on voter registration: “Did you change your last name when you got married? Are you one of the 140 million Americans who doesn’t have a passport? If so, the SAVE Act would block you from registering to vote. Let’s stop this undemocratic bill in its tracks.”
Houlahan has represented Pennsylvania’s 6th district since succeeding Ryan Costello in 2019. She was born in Maryland in 1967 and currently resides in Devon. Houlahan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University.
