Chrissy Houlahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, has raised concerns on social media about the allocation of federal funds and upcoming constituent services in her district.
On February 23, 2026, Houlahan posted criticism regarding a recent decision by the administration to allocate over $38 billion to ICE under Kristi Noem. She wrote, “We are a nation in the midst of an affordability crisis. Seeing this administration give an additional $38+ billion to Kristi Noem’s rogue, unchecked ICE is an immoral use of taxpayer funds.”
In a related post on the same day, Houlahan questioned alternative uses for the $38 billion. She stated, “What else could we do with that $38 billion? Fully fund the SNAP program for nearly five months. Provide more than 18 months of free school breakfast and lunch for every student. 2+ years of funding for improvements to military family housing. Nearly half of the amount needed to”.
Later that afternoon, Houlahan announced her return to Washington D.C., while assuring constituents that her staff would be available locally alongside Rep. Johanny’s team: “I’m headed back to D.C. this week, but my district staff will be on site with the staff of @RepJohanny to answer any questions you may have related to federal issues. Hope you’ll swing by tomorrow from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in Wyomissing!” (February 23, 2026).
Chrissy Houlahan was born in Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland in 1967 and currently resides in Devon. She graduated from Stanford University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
