Chrissy Houlahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, posted a series of messages on November 5, 2025, addressing both recent gubernatorial victories and ongoing congressional negotiations.
In her first post of the day, Houlahan congratulated two newly elected governors: “Congratulations to Governors-Elect Spanberger and Sherrill on their victories last night! I cannot wait to see all the great things you do for your home states.” (November 5, 2025)
Later that afternoon, she commented on her legislative activities in Washington amid partisan gridlock over healthcare policy. She wrote: “I’m here in Washington working with my Democratic colleagues to protect healthcare for every American, but Republicans refuse to meet with us.
I decided to attend @SpeakerJohnson’s press conference today to speak to him. I’m happy to provide contact information for @RepJeffries” (November 5, 2025)
That evening, Houlahan clarified her actions at the press conference: “I wouldn’t say ‘heckled.’ When he asked for questions, I simply asked why he hasn’t brought both parties together to end the shutdown.” (November 5, 2025)
Chrissy Houlahan has represented Pennsylvania’s 6th District in Congress since succeeding Ryan Costello in 2019. Born at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland in 1967 and currently residing in Devon, she graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1989.
