Chrissy Houlahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, has used her social media platform in February to announce constituent events, internship opportunities, and share commentary on military education policy.
On February 17, Houlahan invited constituents to a local event by posting: “This month’s Coffee with Constituents is February 24th in Wyomissing with the office of @RepJohanny! Come by from 11-1 and bring questions about federal or state issues you may have!”
Two days later, on February 19, she announced internship openings in her offices: “Applications for summer internships are now open! We have positions in my Reading, West Chester, and Washington D.C. offices. This is a great opportunity to get first-hand experience with the legislative process, communications, and constituent services. Apply at the link in my”
Later that day, Houlahan addressed military education policy and expressed concerns regarding Secretary Hegseth’s approach: “Sec. Hegseth (Princeton ’03; Harvard ’13) doesn’t want our servicemembers exposed to any views that differ from his own radical ideologies and hopes to prevent them from using their earned benefits to pursue an education at some of our country’s best schools. Chrissy Houlahan was born in Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland in 1967 and currently resides in Devon. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University (1989). Before entering Congress, she replaced Ryan Costello as the representative for Pennsylvania’s 6th district.
