Chrissy Houlahan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, recently used her social media platform to address community initiatives and national political issues.
On February 2, 2026, Houlahan encouraged constituents to participate in a local effort for veterans: “This Wednesday, 2/4 is the deadline to drop off valentines for veterans at one of my district office. Join us in spreading love to those that served this Valentine’s Day!”
The following day, she commented on presidential authority over elections, stating on February 3, 2026: “No can do, President Trump. In our democracy, elections don’t belong to one president or party. They belong to the states, and they are decided by the people.”
Later that same day, Houlahan expressed concern about federal immigration enforcement practices: “As the Trump Administration continues to expand ICE’s footprint in our communities, I’m alarmed by the rush to turn massive warehouses into detention centers. This $87 million taxpayer-funded facility in Berks County does not align with our values or our real community needs.”
Houlahan has represented Pennsylvania’s 6th District since replacing Ryan Costello in 2019 and resides in Devon. She was born at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in Maryland and graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1989.
