Chrissy Houlahan, serving as a U.S. Congress representative for Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, recently addressed several key issues via social media posts. Her comments involved communications with former President Donald Trump, critiques of a speech made by the Health and Human Services Secretary, and actions taken by the Trump administration.

On April 17, 2025, Houlahan tweeted about a letter sent to Donald Trump, highlighting the bipartisan support for AmeriCorps. She urged the former president to collaborate with Congress on the program’s future. In her words, “Read the letter we sent to @realDonaldTrump reminding him that AmeriCorps has deep bipartisan support and urging him to work with Congress on its future.”

Later on the same day, April 17, Houlahan expressed her disapproval of a speech made by the Health and Human Services Secretary, selected by the administration. She criticized the Secretary for allegedly discrediting scientific research and disregarding proven medical findings, with the statement, “This speech is appalling. The hand-picked Health and Human Services Secretary is discrediting scientific research and proven medical findings to fit the Administration’s narrative. RFK clearly does not care about the people he is charged to care for.”

On April 18, Houlahan addressed the actions of the Trump administration in episode 10 of her series titled “Law(less) + (Dis)Order(ly).” She criticized the administration’s recent activities, claiming they did not contribute to the safety or prosperity of the nation. Houlahan referenced President Trump’s defiance of the United States Supreme Court in the tweet, “None of these actions make our country safer or citizens more prosperous, but here are some of the things the Trump administration delivered this week: President Trump is openly defying the United States Supreme Court, refusing to return.”

Houlahan, born in 1967 at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, resides in Devon, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Stanford University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in science.
