Chrissy Houlahan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, has been actively engaging with her constituents and addressing pressing issues through her social media platform. Her recent posts highlight a range of topics from political challenges to community safety and opportunities for young professionals.
On June 17, 2025, Houlahan called on her Republican colleagues to take decisive action in response to what she perceives as overreach by the president. She stated, “We need our Republican colleagues to be forceful…They’re allowing the president to run roughshod over the country.” This comment was made in the context of Democrats’ efforts to preserve the Women’s Bureau at the Department of Labor.
Later that day, Houlahan expressed gratitude towards local law enforcement and federal agencies for their effective response during an incident at a public event. She wrote, “I am grateful to our local law enforcement for their swift work apprehending the armed suspect, thwarting potential disaster, and maintaining safety at Saturday’s No Kings rally in West Chester.” The post also acknowledged ongoing support from the FBI.
On June 18, 2025, Houlahan announced openings for fall internships across her offices. She encouraged applications for both legislative and communications roles by stating, “Fall internship applications are now open! We have spots for both legislative and communications interns in all three of my offices.” Interested candidates were directed to apply by July 13.
Chrissy Houlahan was born in Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland in 1967 and currently resides in Devon. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University obtained in 1989.
