Chrissy Houlahan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district, shared her experiences and thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets on May 12, 2025.
On May 12, Houlahan congratulated graduates from Penn State Berks. She expressed her honor in delivering the commencement address at PSU-Berks over the weekend. She thanked Chancellor Pyati for allowing her to engage with the new graduates, stating “Congratulations to the @PennStateBerks graduates! It was a privilege to give the commencement address at PSU-Berks over the weekend.”
Later that day, she expressed relief regarding Edan Alexander’s return after being held hostage by Hamas for 584 days. Houlahan remarked on his reunion with his family as an emotional moment and said “I am relieved and grateful that after 584 days, Edan Alexander…has been reunited with his family.”
Additionally, Houlahan highlighted her support for STEM education by promoting a Congressional App Challenge. This initiative is open to students of all experience levels within her district. She encouraged participation by sharing details on how to join this event via social media links: “In full support of STEM education, we are proud to host a Congressional App Challenge.”
Chrissy Houlahan has served in Congress since 2019 and resides in Devon. Born in Maryland at Naval Air Station Patuxent River in 1967, she graduated from Stanford University with a BS in 1989.
