Chrissy Houlahan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district, has shared her thoughts on several important topics through recent tweets. As a seasoned politician with a background from Stanford University and a history of public service since 2019, Houlahan continues to address both national and local issues.
On May 15, 2025, Houlahan expressed her stance on the ongoing debate regarding birthright citizenship. She emphasized that “If you are born in America, you are an American. Period.” She referenced the 14th Amendment and the Supreme Court’s agreement in 1898 to underline her point and hoped for affirmation from the current Justices.
The following day, May 16, she informed residents of Reading about an upcoming community event via Twitter. She announced that “Tomorrow, 5/17 is Dumpster Day – a city-wide residential clean out.” This initiative aims to provide ten locations for residents to dispose of bulky household items between 8-11 am.
Later that same day, Houlahan discussed safety concerns related to infrastructure materials during her testimony before the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. In her tweet she stated: “This week, I testified…to sound the alarm on the dangers of ‘Aldyl A,'” referring to its involvement in a tragic explosion at Palmer Company chocolate factory in March 2023.
Chrissy Houlahan was born in Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland in 1967 and now resides in Devon. Her dedication to public service is reflected in her active engagement with constituents on matters ranging from constitutional rights to local community initiatives.
