Chrissy Houlahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Pennsylvania’s 6th district since 2019, has addressed several key issues through a series of recent posts on her official Twitter account.
On September 25, 2025, Houlahan highlighted constituent concerns regarding the Republican Budget and its potential effects. She invited the public to participate in an upcoming event, stating: “The majority of calls coming into my office right now are about the Republican Budget and how it will impact our community. Join me and my expert guests on Thursday, October 2 at 6:00 PM for a town hall to discuss this and more, from healthcare and education to inflation and https://t.co/a6H0xEsk57”.
Later that day, Houlahan spoke out against actions she described as stifling dissent within Congress. On September 25, she wrote: “Silencing voices of dissent goes against everything we swear to uphold as Members of Congress. The No Political Enemies Act will make sure that everyone – no matter their party – is protected from political retribution for exercising their right to free speech. https://t.co/if2NUFplse”.
Addressing privacy concerns on September 26, Houlahan responded to a breach involving military service records: “This breach of privacy is shameful and an insult to my colleague and fellow veteran @RepSherrill and to every person who has served in uniform. We should have confidence that our service records and private personal information will be protected by DoD and NARA. https://t.co/Bmgd7dzwyw”.
Houlahan has represented Pennsylvania’s 6th District since succeeding Ryan Costello in 2019. Born in Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland in 1967, she currently resides in Devon. Houlahan earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University in 1989.
